Mission statement : 

From its knowledge of European Psychological Research, CSA will recommend to EFPA’s EC changes that can enhance and improve the quality, reputation and impact of research carried out within all member associations. 

 Action plan : 

To achieve the above, the committee 

1. Responds to requests from the EC on matters relating to psychological science

2. Acts in a liaison role between EFPA and individual MAs (or their scientific committees)

3. Produces evaluations and recommendations on the regulation of psychological science to be posted on the EFPA website (CSA page), to encourage pan-European convergence, on matters including

a. Ethical standards in psychological research

b. Qualifications, particularly the research PhD

4. Advises EFPA and publisher on the scientific aspects of the European Psychologist journal (receiving and commenting on an annual report from the Editor-in-Chief)

5. Provides guidance on scientific matters relating to European Congresses of Psychology

6. Assists with the process of allocating prizes (Wundt/James, and Aristotle prizes)

7. Reports annually, either to the EFPA EC or General Assembly
